The death occurred on April 19, 2017, peacefully on her own terms, surrounded by family at the King's County Memorial Hospital in Montague, of Margaret Sheehan, Goose River, aged 86 years. Loving mother of Sabina (Charlie Moore), Debbie (John Gillis) and Bernie (Jamie Powers). Also survived by grandchildren Michael Gillis (Roxanne), Sara MacLeod (Chris), Melanie Roll (Jeremy), Jamie Beaton, Krista Gillis and Colby Beaton; and nine adored great grandchildren. Predeceased by husbands Joe P. MacLeod and Hughie Sheehan; and by son Francis MacLeod. Visitation at Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris, Friday, April 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral at St. Peter's Bay Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 22 at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
