It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mary Christina ‘Tena’ MacNeil, age 92, passed away April 24, 2017 at MacGillivray Guest Home.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Angus Joe and Mary Christine (MacIntyre) MacPhee.
Tena is survived by her children, Helen (Lloyd) MacPherson, Sydney; Cathy, Toronto; James (Margie), Sydney; Marion, Sydney; Bill (Joanne), Halifax; Stuart (Leona), Sydney; David, Moncton; also by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ambrose ‘Amos’, brothers, Lawrence, Alex and Leo; sisters, Theresa and Marion and an infant child, Albert.
Visitation for Mrs. MacNeil will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 28 at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
