It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the family of the late David Robert Ellsworth announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 75 years, surrounded by his loving family. Dave leaves behind with fond and loving memories his wife Verna; daughter Glenis (Norm) Johnson; son Dwayne (Karen); step-son Keith (Mary); step-grandchildren: Derek, Kerry, Chris and Ryan; sisters: Doreen (Winston) Sparkes, Madeline (Calvin) Dobbin, Mona (Ralph) Nicholle, Jean (Ralph) Cox; brothers: Henry (Jean), Norm (Linda), Howard, Lee (Tracey); brothers-in-law: Murray (Vera) Knott, Walter Pittman; sisters-in-law: Ellen (Donald) Simmonds, Lea Anthony. Also sadly missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dave was predeceased by his grandparents George and Clara Pittman, Sam and Clara Ellsworth, his parents Rendell and Yula Ellsworth, special uncle and aunts Les and Agnes Humber, sisters Loretta, Violet Pittman, brothers Les, Ronald and George, parents-in-law Thomas and Hilda Knott, Ellen Laing, sisters-in-law Ramona Clarke and Cindy Watts. In keeping with Dave's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, WMRH. Much appreciation and gratitude is extended to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit and the Cancer Centre at WMRH. Thank you for your care, compassion and professionalism...
