It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful mom at the Palliative Care Unit of the Miller Centre on May 16. Predeceased by her husband Leo, son Leo, parents Allan and Dinah Fitzgerald, mother and father-in-law Dennis and Margaret Spurvey, brothers Karl, Edward and Ambrose Fitzgerald, as well as brother-in-law Peter Spurvey. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of memories: daughter Denise (Derrick); sons Leo and Craig (Tess); special granchildren Jeremy (Robin) and Zachary; and great-grandchild Connor, who she loved dearly. Also leaving to mourn: brothers Frank (Betty), Reg and Allan; sisters Kathleen (Fran), Nell and Bish; sisters-in-law Gladys, Patricia (Richard), Glenda (Gerry) and Stella; brother-in-law Dennis (Alice); as well as many nieces, nephews and friend. The family would like to thank special Auntie Bish for all her support during this difficult time, and also the staff at Allison's Manor. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Cremation has taken place at her request. Visitation to take place on Friday from 12-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11 am on Saturday, May 20th at Sacred Heart Church, Fox Harbour, with inunrment to follow at Fox Harbour R.C. Cemetery.
