Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers, St. John's on Thursday, May 18, 2017, aged 91 years. Predeceased by her parents Willis and Mary Hannah Miller of Freshwater/Trinity East, husband Garfield Piercey, sisters Thelma, Betty, Mary, Lena and Julia and son-in-law Maxwell Jones. Leaving to mourn are her daughter Sandra Jones (the late, Maxwell) and son Wayne Piercey (Doreen); granddaughters: Sandy Rumbolt (Todd), Angela Hollett (Todd), Julie Peckham (Dana); grandson Justin Piercey; great-grandchildren: Grant, Brett, Carrie, Elayna, Liliana, Chase and Morgan; brother Franklin Miller (Ruby); also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is resting at Christ Church, Port Rexton with care provided by Fewer's Funeral Home. Visitation hours at Christ Church in Port Rexton are as follows: Sunday, May 21 from 1-4 and 7-9, and Monday, May 22 from 10-12. Funeral service to be held at Christ Church, Port Rexton at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 22. Burial service to follow at Port Rexton Trinity East Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Port Rexton Trinity East Cemetery Fund. A gathering of family and friends of the late Minnie Piercey will take place at the Port Rexton Lions Club, immediately following the funeral and burial services.
