It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Ernest Thistle at the Health Sciences Centre on May 19, 2017. Predeceased by his parents, Rose and Nathaniel Thistle. He leaves to mourn his sister, Doris (Doug) Scott and brothers, Roy (Carmel - deceased) and Nat Jr. (Veronica) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He also leaves behind his caregivers, Rick and Sharon Fowler. The Fowler family has shown so much love and compassion for our brother. They have taken him into their home and treated him as one of their own for the past 12 years. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Thursday from 2-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place from Caul's Chapel on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2pm. Inurnment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donation's in Ernest's memory may be made to the CNIB or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
