The family of Bert Joyce would like to announce his peaceful passing, with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the age of 90 years. He faithfully served the Lord with his wife, in the Gospel for 64 years in Newfoundland and Labrador. He has been predeceased by his wife Emily Ruth (nee Gould), March 15, 2016; parents: Grace Evelyn and Jack Joyce; sisters: Edith Caron and Ruthie Joyce; parents-in-law: Elizabeth Alexandra and John Edward Gould; brothers-in-law Edward Gould and Martin Brown. Left to mourn his passing, children: John, June (Gerald) Burton, Evelyn (Dave) MacPherson, Stephen (Sheila), Heather Moore and Bryan (Rachel); sister: Peggy Brown and sister-in-law: Ruth Gould. He also had 20 grandchildren, great-grandson Landon, a number of nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, May 26, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1 p.m., from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations are graciously accepted to The Gospel Trust Canada (www.gospeltrust.ca).
