Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Thursday, April 10, 2008, Samson J. Squire of Eastport, aged 82 years. Predeceased by brother Gilbert Brown. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Violet of 60 years; daughters: Alice Squire-Beck (George), Christine Squire and Doris Anne Squire-Barron (Paul); sons: Jerry (Julia), Robert (Karen Powell), William and Clyde (Monica); sisters: Amy (John E. Penney), Beatrice (Alden Mitchell) and Amy Ralph; brother Nelson Turner; grandchildren: Donna Lynn (Stephen), Gordon (Valerie), Robert-Paul and Hannah May; great-grandchildren Zachary and Isaiah and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Squire's Funeral Home, Eastport. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, from Holy Cross Anglican Church, Eastport, with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Eastport.
