(nee Jarvis) Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, in the presence of her loving family, on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, Elizabeth Sophia Abbott, formerly of Oderin, Placentia Bay, age 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Michael, 1975, infant son Michael, parents Bernard and Clara Jarvis, and sisters Lucy, Emma and Mercedes. Leaving to mourn her sons Gregory (Geraldine), Joseph (Shirley) and John (Cindy); daughters Margaret (Joseph Manning), Bernadine (Lewis Knight), Mary (Robert Murphy), Geraldine (Robert Hunt), Theresa Cullen (Wayne); twenty-five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister Theresa Power; twin sister Mary Joe Dunphy; brother William Jarvis (Leona); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the 1st Floor, St. Patrick's Mercy Home. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. from St. Paul's Church, Newfoundland Drive. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick's Mercy Home or the Right to Life Association.
