Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on April 17, 2008, Melvin A. Miller, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brother Lewis (Gladys, deceased). Leaving to mourn his wife Marion; sons: Glenn, Donald (Janet-Ann), David and Kenneth (Brenda); daughter Janet; grandchildren: Stacey and Bradley Miller, Amanda and Jennifer Morris and Justin Miller; sister Jessie Penney (Raymond, deceased); brother Robert (Shirley); brothers-in-law: Rev. Gordon Ethridge (Betty, deceased), George Etheridge (Audrey); sisters-in-law: Elsie, Hazel (Randell); also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Melvin was Past Master of Avalon Lodge, member of Union Lodge (Trinity) and Past District Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Newfoundland. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., then on Monday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to be held from The Church of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, Mount Pearl on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
