W. Alistair Kinsman

Passed away peacefully at Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Friday, April 25, 2008, William Alistair Kinsman, of St. John's, in his 76th year. Predeceased by his first wife Mary and siblings Elaine, Bruce and David. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are wife Mildred, son Paul, daughter-in-law Phyllis, grandchildren Thalia and Wesley; step-children Gordon Forsey and Colleen Outerbridge and families; also many life-long friends and former colleagues. A true gentleman, he leaves behind a musical legacy during his distinguished 48-year career as organist and choir director at George Street United Church, and a 40-year career as a dedicated civil servant. A special thank you to the caring staff at Escasoni. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, April 28 at 2 p.m. from George Street United Church. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Alistair's memory may be made to the George Street United Church Choir.
