Agnes Bennett

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Agnes Bennett announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughter, Paula Huntley (Eugene); son, Paul O'Brien (Michelle) and very special grandson, Daniel; step-children: Corey Power (Roger), Linda Button (Wayne) and Brendan Bennett (Eva); sister, Irene Chaulk; brothers: Joe Parsons (Brada), Wilfred Parsons (Gertrude) and John Parsons (Betty); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter O'Brien; her second husband, Frank Bennett; parents, Mary and John Parsons; sister, Cecile Follett; and brother, Jim Parsons. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, February 2, 2008 and Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer with Monsignor Gale officiating and at Caul's Funeral Home Chapel, 84 Lemarchant Road, St. John's, on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Doody officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family extends sincere thanks to the Palliative Care Unit and Unit 3B at Western Memorial Regional Hospital; as well as Father Leonard and Monsignor Gale.
