MELVIN, Louis John — Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Thursday, February 5, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his parents, Frances and Michael, wife Margaret (nee Colbert) and brother Phonse (Agnes). Leaving to mourn his sons Michael (Ella and Braedon), Peter (Margie, Justin, Rebecca and Jarrett) and daughter Wynnann (John, Jessica and Abigale), sisters Marie Hartery (Frank, deceased), Rose Farrell (Jim), Margaret DeCoste (Joe) and brother Martin (Alison). He also leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation on Saturday, February 7 from 2 to 9 p.m. and Sunday February 8 from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Monday February 9 at 11 a.m. from St. Michael’s R.C. Church, St. Michael’s. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, St. Michael’s. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Church Restoration fund.
