HAMPTON, Myrtle Whilmina (nee Hussey) — Passed peacefully away at the Masonic Park Nursing Home on February 7, 2009 at the age of 98. Predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Charles Hampton; daughter and son-in-law Greta and John Williams; son-in-law Ches Barbour; great-grandchild Kevin Hebert; five brothers and one sister. Leaving to mourn are her daughters Betty Barbour and Shirley (Charles) Udle, sons Joe (Fran) Hampton and Stan (Pearl) Hampton, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Masonic Park Nursing Home for their care over the past five years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave, on Sunday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Cowan Heights United Church on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Her loving and tender care has enhanced all the lives of her family and friends.
