Anna Marguerite Reid (nee MacKay), Truro, passed away peacefully at Cedarstone Enhanced Care on May 1, 2008. Born May 2, 1916, Anna was the daughter of the late Frank and Iza (Notting) MacKay. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Sherry) Reid, and Thomas (Angela) Reid; grandsons Jason and Joey Reid as well as several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Gerald William Reid, son William Charles, granddaughter Rachel Ann, and grandson, Cpl. Christopher Jonathan. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by her brother, Laurie, sisters Jean, Hilda Fullerton, Floss MacConnachie and Frances. A celebration of life will be held at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro on Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating. Reception to follow the service. Interment at Folly Village Cemetery in Glenholme. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Folly Village Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
