(Smith) Passed peacefully away on Friday, May 9, 2008 in the presence of her family at the Agnes Pratt Home, aged 86. Predeceased by husband G. Thomas F. Baggs (1973); parents Charles George Gordon (1961) and Marion (Miller) (1963); brother James Robert Smith (1979). Leaving to mourn with fond memories, daughter, Marion (Fil); nephews: Tom Gosse (Evelyn). Walter Gosse (Maria); godchild and niece Jeanie Gosse (Art Murphy), John Freeland (niece, Ann Gosse, deceased); great-nephews: Pablo Gosse and David Freeland; great-nieces: Becky Gosse and Elizabeth Beal and family; cousins: Betty Jacobs (George) and family, Donna Kenny (Peter) and family and Laura M. Colyer and family; as well as many special family friends. A special thank you to all staff at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home. Laura was a long time employee of Ayre's at the Avalon Mall and previously at Sears in Buchans. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday and 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service on Tuesday May 13, 2008 from St. Augustine Anglican Church, Westerland Road at a time to be announced later. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
