Donald Manning Fisher, 77, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. He was the son of the late Fraser and Adelaide (Geldart) Fisher. Donald was a member of the Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Legion. He worked many years for the Canadian National Railroad as a bridge builder. He enjoyed camping and watching television. Donald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nellie May (Taylor); sisters, Elizabeth Henderson and Sylvia Barnhill, both of Truro, Carol (Ernest) Jakal, Calgary, Alta.; brothers, Albert, North River, Gerald (Marina), Masstown, Arthur (Vera), Debert, and John, Truro; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Shirley Dickson and brother Paul. No visitation by request. A graveside service and Royal Canadian Legion tribute will be held in the spring at Bible Hill Cemetery.
