Anna Csontos, 73, of Truro, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 27, 2008, surrounded by her family at home. Born in Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Vanek. Anna and her husband George escaped the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. She loved to garden, enjoyed doing needle point and traveling. Anna loved pets. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Truro. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son George Peter of Ottawa; daughter Anna Wentzell of Hilden; granddaughters Christina Wentzell and Katie Wentzell; extended family and friends in Hungary. She was predeceased by her husband George Csontos; daughter Elizabeth Dorothy Csontos. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and funeral mass 2 p.m. Friday, all in the Immaculate Conception Church, Truro. Father Ronald Cairns will officiate with a reception to follow in Campbell’s Hall. Burial will follow in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations in Anna’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. Vincent De Paul.
