Clarence Edward Debison, 54, of Village Court, Bible Hill, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at home. Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of Marie (Gracie) Debison, Glace Bay, and the late Clarence Edwin Debison. Clarence joined the Truro police department in Jan. 1, 1976 where he worked for 25 years and was respected by all who knew him. He was a great pitcher for the many ball teams he played for and he enjoyed the friendship of all his co-workers and team players. Clarence was very fond of his car which he took great pride in. Besides his mother, Clarence is survived by daughter, Anne-Marie Debison, Truro; brother, Wayne (Wendy), Glace Bay; grandson, Connor; niece, Kara. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today, June 4, in the Immanuel Baptist Church, Young Street, Truro, Rev. Peter Reid officiating, with interment to follow in the Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
