Eileen Stanbury Macdonald
(nee Cantwell) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Eileen Stanbury MacDonald, age 81. Predeceased by her first husband, James Stanbury, parents: Joseph and Mary Margaret; brothers: Joseph, James and Gerard (killed in action, RAF, 1942); sisters: Laura (Blackmore), Marion (Hawco) and Philomena (Ryan). Left to mourn with loving memories are her husband, James MacDonald, Oshawa; children: Paul, Anne (Art) Puddister, Debbie (David) Quick; grandchildren: John, Stephen and Stephanie Puddister, Jennifer Stanbury, Michael, Matthew and Sarah Quick; step family: children: David (Chris), Ross (BJ) and Andrea (Terry) Wakefield; step-grandchildren: Nigel, Rheannon, Nicole and Jane MacDonald and many nieces, especially Patricia Clarke; nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place in Oshawa. Funeral arrangements for St. John's will be entrusted to Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation on Friday, May 16, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Daffodil Place.
