David Eric Pierce, 64, Belmont passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Howard and Eunice (Graham) Pierce. He is survived by his wife, Jean (Otterson), Belmont; children, Eric, Belmont; Shannon, Truro; Janice (Bill MacWhirter), Head of St. Margaret’s Bay; Dennis (Carolyn), Winnipeg; Tanya (Melissa MacDonald), Truro; grandchildren, Emily, Connor and Maggie Pierce-Pryor, Truro; brother, Elwin (Judy), Ottawa; sister, Betty Lynds, Belmont; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the Pierce Family Home on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. for family and friends.
