Diane L. MacKinnon, 54, of Truro and formerly of Marion Bridge, Cape Breton passed away on May 26, 2008. She was a daughter of Lillian Hussy and the late Harvey Hussy. Diane was a medical receptionist in Cape Breton and completed her career in the Truro Medical Centre and the East End Medical Centre. She is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver, Angus; son, Richard; daughters, Jolene, Jill, Lisa, Kim and their spouses; many loved grandchildren; siblings, Ginny Break, Maureen Kavadias, Gary Hussy; sister-in-law, Florence Axworthy; brother-in-law, Ronnie MacKinnon; mother-in-law, Louise MacKinnon; much loved nieces and nephews. Diane loved her husband and family first and foremost. She loved fishing, music, painting, animals and the outdoors. She will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28 from 7 to 9 p.m.; memorial service on Thursday, May 29 at 11 a.m.; both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. There will also be a memorial service at the Bethal United Church in Marion Bridge, Cape Breton at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
