Donald Belford Dunlop, 86, Truro passed away June 3, 2008 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Center Burlington, and raised in River Denys, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late David and Edith (Flight) Dunlop. During the Second World War, Don was a proud member of the 5th Field Company Rank of Sapper. After the war, he worked for 35 years at Camp Debert as an electrician until his retirement in 1988. He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Hoolihan (Harry), Ottawa; Kay Harding, Dartmouth; Diane and Maryanne Dunlop, both of Truro; son, David (Evelyn) Dunlop, Truro; granddaughter, Hannah Harding (Colin), great-grandsons, Austin Harding, great-granddaughter, Abbigail, all of Dartmouth; brother, Lloyd Dunlop, Yarmouth and special friend, Ellen Mohney, Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife, Gwendolyn (Rafuse) Dunlop; son-in-law, Brian Harding and grandson, Brian John Harding. A Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26 tribute service will be held on Monday, June 9 at 2 p.m. in Watson Cemetery. Reception to follow at 55 Harris Dr. Family flowers only.
