Doris Irene Bradbury, 85, of Truro, passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, in the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lena (Parker) Weatherbee. Doris was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Truro, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, William J. “Bill”; son, Brian (Marianne), Lower Sackville; daughter, Brenda (Dwayne) Stewart, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Meagan and Mark Bradbury, Randy and Ashley Stewart. She was predeceased by brothers, Everett and Kenneth. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 26, and funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, all in the Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Pastor Ken Banks officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will be held at a later date in the Watson Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations in Doris’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
