Dorothy Marion (Collins) Creelman, 74, Beaverbrook, passed away peacefully at the QE11, Infirmary Site, Halifax on April 25, 2008. Born in Green Oaks, Colchester County, on June 2, 1933, she was a daughter of the late William and Anne (Burris) Collins. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by daughter, Sherry (John Scott) Wright, B.C.; sons, John “Jack” (Wanda), Edwin (Louise), Scott (Anne), all of Beaverbrook, Robin (Evelyn), Hilden; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Linda (Herman) Crowe; brothers, Dawson (Colleen), Herbert (Frances), Russell (Nancy); several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Seymour; daughter, Belinda; son, Leland; sister, Edna. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Dan Gunn officiating. Interment in Old Barns Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the QE11, Intensive Care Unit or a charity of choice.
