Aged 91 years of Gable's Lodge, Amherst, and formerly of Springhill, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008 in The Lodge. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late Elbridge and Catherine (McManaman) Boran. She spent her working years in the office of Morris Saffron and later with Simpson-Sears. She enjoyed sewing, painting and traveling.She is survived by her son Barry (Dorothy) Nelson of Thunder Bay, Ontario and her daughter, Mary Louise (Douglas) Howe of Calgary, Alberta; three grandchildren; brothers, Carlyle (Gertrude) Boran of Springhill and Lowell (Colleen) Boran of Amherst; sister, Minerva Boran of Springhill; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband C. Harold Nelson. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 1 - 3 pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 followed immediately at 3:00 pm by a Memorial Service with The Reverend David Lloyd-Pearce officiating, both held in A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Burial in Mapleton Cemetery, Mapleton, at a later date.
