James Frederick Hill, 84 years, of Petrolia, Ontario and formerly of Strathroy, Ontario and Prince Albert and Star City, Saskatchewan. Beloved husband of Joananna Cecile (nee Dice). Loving father of Dr. Helen Lorraine Gregory and her husband Dr. Neil Gregory of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Louise Gibson and her husband Rev. Dr. Bob Gibson of Petrolia. Dear grandfather of James Thomas Gregory, Ella Cecile Gregory and her husband Michael Howe and Duane Michael Gibson (a.k.a D.O. Defy the Odds) and his fiancée Anjanee Bali. Also survived by a great granddaughter, Briana Bryn Gregory-Howe (she had her great grandfather's big blue eyes). Also survived by sisters, Margaret (the late Glen) Jessop of Windsor, ON, Ruth Hill of Langley, BC and Ethel Campbell and her husband Ed of Langley BC. and a brother, George Hill and his wife Eileen of Kelowna, BC. Predeceased by a sister, Bessie Murphy and her husband George. Also survived by nieces and nephews, James, Nancy and Deborah Jessop, Michael Murphy, Patty Zehr, Gayle Quick, Stewart and David Campbell, Nadine Elson, Sandra Graham and David Hill. A memorial service to celebrate the life of James Frederick Hill will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Petrolia, on Wednesday, March 26th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Star City Cemetery, Star City, Saskatchewan.
