Alfred "Fred" Corriveau

CORRIVEAU - Alfred "Fred" April 20, 1946 - March 23, 2008 Fred was born in Prince Albert, raised in Albertville and farmed with his father at the age of 16 until he and his family moved to Paddockwood area in 1972 where he spent the rest of his life operating the family farm. Fred was involved with the community's school board, community pasture and parish council. He also served as a Counselor for the R.M. of Paddockwood and was a committee member for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Fred passed away on Easter Sunday at the Victoria Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Fred's special interests were having coffee with neighbors, camping, fishing, but most importantly spending time with family. Fred is survived by his wife Louise of 42 years; three sons and one daughter Clarence and his children Cain and Gerry, David (Nicole) and their children Bridget and Jordan, Daniel (Vanessa) and their children Tanner and Taylor, Simone (Shawn) and their children Tyler (Erica), Cody and Chelsea and one special great grandson Ryan. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald Corriveau in 1995 and Marie Corriveau in 1998. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care, 1200 - 24th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 and the Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2008 with the Celebrant Reverend Father Tuyen Vu. Both services will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Albertville, SK. Interment will be held at St. James Cemetery, Albertville, SK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
