DON LANG Mr. Donald Gordon Lang, age 56, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008. He was born on April 15, 1951 in Prince Albert. After completing school in Prince Albert he joined the Princess Patricia Light Infantry and served for two years specializing in Marksmanship, where he won several Canadian Marksmanship Military Competitions. Don was employed at Burns until 1973 when he was involved in a vehicle accident where he suffered extensive injuries. He entered Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home in 1997 and resided there until his passing. There he found a home, a caring environment and extended family. Don's family would like to thank the staff for their years of exemplary care and compassion. Don is survived by his loving family: his mother Edith of Prince Albert; his sister Karen (Jim) Helm of Rural Prince Albert and their children Kaley Helm and Quinn Helm; his brother Jack (Harriet) Lang of Rural Prince Albert and their children Amber Lang and Darby (Don) Sovyn; as well as uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his father William Lawrence "Laurie" in 2002 and his younger brother Patrick in 1974. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4 from Mont St. Joseph Chapel, 777 - 28 Street East. Celine Hudon will officiate. Interment will take place in the Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family's request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation.
