NILSON - Carl Almer December 27, 1926 - April 16, 2008 It is with deep sadness that the family of Carl Almer Nilson announce the peaceful passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Mont St. Joseph's Home. He will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 59 years Joyce; four children Tim (Arlene) Nilson of North Battleford, Terry (Brenda) Nilson of Tobin Lake, Greg (Marlyn) Nilson of Prince Albert and Cathy Nilson (Frederik Bielser) of Saskatoon; ten grandchildren Corey (Chesley) Nilson of Saskatoon, Wade (Tara) Nilson of Pt Clinton, Ohio, Mark (Ronald) Nilson of Saskatoon, Tanice (Ryan) Bosanko of Cochrane, AB, Tory Nilson of Toronto ON, Chad (Amy) Nilson of Prince Albert, Rhett Nilson of St. Augistine, Florida, Graem, Devon and Haley Johnston all of Saskatoon; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Carl was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Elizabeth Nilson; sisters Ruth Anderson and Olga Sargent and brother Sidney Nilson. Carl was born and raised in Weldon, SK. He moved to Prince Albert after completing school. Carl met his wife Joyce Morrow in Prince Albert where he worked and raised his family until his retirement in 1987. Over the years, Carl and Joyce moved to St. Louis in 1976 where they resided for 10 years before moving to Kinistino where he enjoyed 10 years on their acreage. Carl and Joyce then moved to Prince Albert in May, 1997. Carl loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and he especially enjoyed attending all of their sporting and special events. Carl enjoyed fishing, dancing and playing cards with all of his friends. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1796 - 15th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dan Haugen officiating. Interment will be at the South Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
