Helen Louise Helen Louise Denysiuk

Date de décès : 8 janvier 2009

DENYSIUK - Helen Louise Helen Louise Denysiuk, nee Scobey, 76 of Prince Albert, formerly of Henribourg, passed away on January 8, 2009 after a long journey with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mom was an incredible woman who embodied qualities of strength and independence, as well as deep love and caring for her family. She was an incredibly hard worker, supporting Harry on the farm and then operating her own greenhouse for many years. We were all proud of her success and thought that her plants were without equal. She was so proud of her grand children, Evan, Holly and Ben, and loved to be around them and watch them do the activities they enjoyed. Mom knew how to have fun - she loved to golf, play cards, socialize with friends and spend time at the family cabin at Candle Lake. She displayed unconditional love for us and valued our input as much as we valued her advice. Mom accepted life and all its ups and downs with grace and serenity. She was unafraid of death and was thankful for all life had given her. She enjoyed special closeness with her siblings, with many visits back and forth to B.C. and Alberta. She was equally close to Harry's family, enjoying a special bond with the Denysiuk women. Helen is remembered with love by Doug (June), Sheila (Margo), Ron (Jacqui); her grandchildren Evan, Holly and Ben; her brothers Ted (Jean), Don (Carol) and Maurice; her sisters Daisy, Alice (Tuffy), Iris and Linda (Merv); her brothers-in-law Bill (Eileen) and Alec (Laurie); her sisters-in-law Donna, Eleanor and Lynne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harry; her parents Walter and Emily; her sister Carole; her brothers Chuck and Bill; her sister-in-law Marlene; her brother-in-law Red; along with Harry's sister Nettie; brothers Tom, Walter and Tony; as well as sisters-in-law Helen and Ellen and brother-in-law Nick. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Spruce Home Trail Riders Arena with officiant Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers which Mom loved, please consider a donation to the Spruce Home Activity Centre or to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
