GILBERT HAMEL MARCH 17, 1941 - JANUARY 11, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Gilbert announce his passing on January 11, 2009 at the age of 67 years.%C2%A0 He passed away with his loving family by his side and his granddaughter Alicia holding his hand. Gilbert was born March 17, 1941 in Quill Lake, SK.%C2%A0 He married Claire and they spent 35 wonderful years together. Gil worked on the oil sands at Fort Mac until he began his battle with cancer in December of 2007. %C2%A0Gilbert's family would like to thank Rev. Maurice Fiolleau, the palliative care staff on the 5th floor and Dr. Swart for their tender care.
