NEW GLASGOW – Alice Georgina “Georgie” (Evans) Reid, 86, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away Monday, February 4th, 2008, in the Manor. Born in Haliburton, she was the daughter of William “Bill” and Alice (Harris) Evans. Georgie lived in New Glasgow all her life, residing in the Glen Haven Manor for the past 37 years. Georgie and her late husband, John Reid, were the first couple to be married at the Manor. There will be no visitation or funeral by request. A committal service will be held in the Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow, at a later date. Donations in memory of Georgie may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
