Laffin, ( Landry ) Anastasia “ Ann” age 87, of Maple Street, Trenton, passed away Friday, February 1 , 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Jessie ( MacIntyre) Ryan. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 and enjoyed playing darts, bingo and cards.She is survived by daughters: Pauline Hayman (Cliff), Trenton; Patsy (Art) Bourguignon, Dryden, Ont.; Nancy Landry (Pierre), Trenton, Ont.; Linda (Bill) MacKay, Stellarton; Theresa Glidden (David), Kitchener, Ont.; Darlene (Dave) Griffin, Trenton; Connie (John) MacDonald, Trenton; sons: Jack (Jessie) Landry , Port Hawkesbury: Peter (Marg) Landry, Trenton; Glen (Mary) Landry, Trenton; Billy (Irene) Landry, Trenton; seven step-children; twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-eight great- grandchildren; sister: Elizabeth Ryan, New Glasgow. She was predeceased by her first husband, Maynard Landry, second husband, Earl Laffin, a child in infancy;grandson, Ivan Peers, brothers: Dan R., Ambrose, Wilfred, Sylvester, Steve, Joseph, Pat, Anthony, Ted; sisters: Margaret, Mary, Pauline, Sadie; half-sister Delia . Visitation Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home Trenton. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Diabetic Association or a charity of choice.
