MacDONALD, Anna Isabel - 95, Mount Thom, passed away at home on Monday, September 10, 2007. Born May 10, 1912, in Watervale, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late Rod and Olivia MacDonald. Anna loved her home and family and especially enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She was a member of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, Salt Springs. Anna was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are sons, William, and Daniel (Clarice), Mount Thom; daughters, Marie (Gary) Langille, New Glasgow, and Jessie (Bob) McKay, Springville; seven grandchildren: Patsy (Dave Carrigan) Langille, Westville; Ellie (Mike) Melanson, Marathon, Ontario; Cyndi (Kelly) Parks, Salt Springs; Rod (Cheryl) MacDonald, Lovat; Paul (Misty) McKay, East Stewiacke; Brian (Brenda Rogers) McKay, Springville; Kevin (Amanda Blenkhorn) McKay, Stellarton; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patsy, as well as an infant daughter; brothers: Colin, Gilbert, Jack, and Martin; and sister, Ellen. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, with visitation to be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday from St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, Salt Springs, with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Interment to follow in Caledonia Cemetery, Salt Springs. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to the St. Luke's Prebyterian Church, Salt Springs.
