WESTVILLE - Chester Anthony Fleury, age 83, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2007, surrounded by his loving wife and devoted family. Born in Westville, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Chester was the son of the late Victor and Rachael (Boudreau) Fleury. He was a Veteran of the Second World War, having served overseas, and a lifetime member of Branch 35, Royal Canadian Legion, Westville. He was a member of The Church of The Holy Name, Westville. In early years, he worked in the coal mines and went on to become a first class welder employed by Trenton Works, retiring in 1983. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris (MacDougall); devoted father of: Victor (Nancy), Greenwood; Chester (Nadine), Westville; Shirley MacNutt (Bryant), Westville; Douglas (Heather), Coldbrook; Laura MacMillan (Alexander), New Glasgow; cherished grandchildren: Dorie, Sherri, Amy, Shelley, Nathan, Meghan, Christine, Michael, Kristian, Zachary and Daniel. He was predeceased by his parents and by sisters, Viola White and Jean Currie; brothers: James Robert, Bill, Clary, Herbie, Harold, and Joseph. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 22, at 2 p.m. from The Church of The Holy Name with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. No visitation by request. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements under direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
