Grant Thompson, age 89, of Bridgeville, Pictou County, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2007, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glencoe, Grant was a son of the late Archie and Sadie (Hattie) Thompson. He was a loving papa to his grandchildren: Amy and Chad Thompson, Evan and Kyle Thompson, Aric and Brenna Reynolds. He is also survived by sisters, Violet Roy and Marguerite Campbell; brothers, Hattie, Lawrence and Jack Thompson, all of Pictou County; and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two sons in infancy and brothers, James and Wallace. His remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, from the Springville Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Don Shephard officiating. Burial will be in the Bridgeville Cemetery.
