Riverton – Donald “Donnie” Hugh Shaw age 60 of the Riverview Adult Residential Centre, Riverton passed away on Friday, November 23, 2007, in Riverton. Born in New Glasgow he was the son of Dorothy (Lowe) Shaw and the late Newton Shaw. Donnie was a guest of the Riverview Adult Residential Centre for the past 30 years. Surviving are his mother Dorothy; aunts: Josephine Black of Brookline, Mass. USA; Lillian Shaw of Brookline, Mass. USA; Eleanor Dunbar of Lorne; Marion Shaw of Elgin; Inez Eisan of Halifax; Rita Hack of Cambridge; Betty Coolen of Foxpoint. Also surviving are a number of cousins. Donnie was predeceased by his father Newton. His remains will rest in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton for visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m. both in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery. Donations in memory of Donnie may be made to the Riverview Adult Residential Centre.
