(Kit), RN Passed peacefully away on Monday, May 26, 2008 at Placentia Health Centre, aged 81 years, Catherine McGrath of Freshwater, formerly of Argentia. Catherine is predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Ellen; her sisters: Ida O'Leary, Clara Roach, Margaret McGrath and Cecilia Duke, and her brothers: John and Richard. Left with fond and loving memories are her sisters: Mary Davis, Matilda Howard and Ann McGrath; her brother James and a large circle of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews; other relatives, nursing colleagues and many friends. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation on Tuesday, May 27 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 28 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 29 at 11 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater. Interment to follow at the Reverend Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. Catherine leaves a legacy of compassionate, competent nursing and health care.
