Trenton – James Raymond Anderson, age 71, of Chestnut St., Trenton, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Evan Kennedy and Mary Frances “Muffie” (McKenzie) Anderson. He was a member of Local 1178, Millwrights and Machine Erectors of America. He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church; the Society of the Little Flower and he was an avid skater. He is survived by daughters, Brenda MacDonald, (Doane MacLean), New Glasgow; Cathy (Greg) MacGillivray, Trenton; grandchildren: Craig, Fort McMurray; Heidi, New Glasgow; Lisa, Fort St. John, BC; great-grandchildren, Kage and Jacob; brother, Roddie (Jane), Trenton; sister-in-law, Muriel Anderson, Trenton; nephews: Dale, Raymond and Matthew. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna May Russell; brother, Evan. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral mass 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit.
