NEW GLASGOW – Jack Rae Hollis, 60, of New Glasgow, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Linden, NS, he was a son of the late Alec and Elizabeth (Burns) Hollis. Jack lived in Stellarton and Lower Mount Thom for a number of years before moving to New Glasgow. He was a former employee of Maritime Steel. Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara Andrew, New Glasgow; a son, Jack; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha (Bruce) Williams, Stellarton; his pride and joy, granddaughter, Morgan, Stellarton; his little buddy, Bruiser; a sister, Jean Cameron; several nieces and nephews; and an extended family of in-laws. He was predeceased by brothers, George and Fred. Cremation has taken place. By request, there will be no visitation or service. Burial of ashes will take place in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date Donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
