ALMA - James Joseph O'Dwyer, age 86, Alma, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Cheltham, Ontario, he was a son of the late Michael Lawrence and Angela (Cantlan), O'Dwyer. He owned and operated Unitex Company until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his companion, Norma Clarke; daughters, Denise, Lynne, Teresa "Terri", Anne; two sons, Brian and Gary; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; Norma's children: Velma, Cindy, Timmy, Marilyn, and grandchildren, Natalie, Lee, and Steven. He was predeceased by his wife Marguerite. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Name Cemetery, Westville, with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Donations can be made to the N.S. Lung Assoc., 17 Alma Crescent, Halifax, B3N 9Z9, Canadian Cancer Assoc., 825 East River Rd., New Glasgow, B2H 5S6, or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
