PICTOU – Janet Ann Miller, 69, of Depot St., Pictou, passed away peacefully March 26, 2008, at home. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Lester B. and M. Helen (Cyr) Turple. Janet loved to cook and bake for family and friends, and was a proud grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Howard; children: Wayne Chudley (Carmen), Devon, Alberta; Lester Chudley (Nancy), Summerside, P.E.I.; Helen Chudley (Charlie Baird), Pictou; Barbara Smith (Edward), Duncan, B.C.; Jerry (Shelly), Edmonton; and Howard, Jr., Edmonton; brothers: Leonard (Helen), Bayview; Lester Jr. (Marilyn), Pictou; Vernon E. (Janet), Scotsburn; sisters: Mary (Ralph), Vancouver; Emma (Russell), Pictou; eight grandchildren whom she adored; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Hughie. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
