Bridget Elizabeth Kavanagh

(Cummings, nee English) age 85 years. She slipped away peacefully into her eternal Home at the Health Sciences Complex, St. John's on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, of St. John's (formerly of North River), in the presence of her loving family, after a brief illness. Predeceased by parents Bernard English (1966) and Marie English (nee Hawco, 1954); husbands Daniel J. Cummings (1988) and Patrick J. Kavanagh (1998); daughters Delores and Gerarda (died in infancy); son Daniel A. (2005), sister Mary, 1995 (Jim, 1979) Hall. Left to mourn the loss of her physical presence with them are: sons: Father Wayne Cummings, St. John's; Gary (Floss) Cummings, North River; Brian (Beverley) Cummings, North River; daughter-in-law Madonna Cummings, St. John's; five grandchildren: Cory Cummings, North River, LeAnne (James) Lewis, St. John's; Adam Cummings, N.S.; Kayla and Mallory Cummings, AB; special niece Sylvia Hurley and family: Natasha, AB, Andrea (John Sadek), Mass., USA, Paul, Texas, USA, Kenneth, Stephenville; one special step-great-grandchild Ian Lewis, St. John's; dear caregivers at Chancellor Park 2 West and personal friend and caregivers Glenda Wells and Bonnie O'Grady. A special thank you to Dr. Tong and all the nursing staff, 4 North A, Health Sciences Complex for their loving care and support during these past two weeks. Special long time friend Jean Hurley, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach. Visitation Thursday 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Friday, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from All Hallows R.C. Church, North River. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, North River. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the All Hallows R.C. Church Building Fund.
