Passed suddenly away at the Health Sciences Centre on May 27, 2008, Joseph MeLindy, aged 71 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Gertrude. Leaving to mourn are his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Eileen MeLindy (nee Strickland); daughter Kathy Dominic (John); sons John (Heather) and Joe (Jenny); grandchildren Alicia Dominic (Jason Rose), Mark Dominic, Tara MeLindy and Jake MeLindy; sisters Cassie Chalk (Stan) and Gertrude Hicks (Barry); sisters-in-law Betty Van-Sprolant (Edward), Laura Coffin (Robert), Phyllis Burke (Paul), Rebecca Barkovich (Steve) and Georgina Martin (Hugo), as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service to take place from Wesley United Church on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
