Dorman, Glenn William - 89, of Wolfville, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010. Born in Newtonville, Kings County, he was a son of the late William “Bill” and Carrie G. (Coldwell) Dorman. Glenn worked for the Nova Scotia Light and Power Company in Lumsden and Wolfville for a number of years and DuPont of Canada, Kingston, Ontario until his retirement. He is survived by two sons, Elwood G. (Doreen), Coldbrook; Fraser E. (Patricia), Waterloo, Lunenburg County; a daughter, Maurietta R. Davidson, Gaspereau, Kings County; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Edra “Bunny” Mercer, Boston, Mass.; Minnie (Perley) Stoddard, Falmouth; a brother, Lloyd (Lexie), Newtonville. In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Minnie B. (Davison); son-in-law, Murrille Davidson; four sisters, Phoebe Davidson, Lottie Nauss, Bertha Coldwell and Elsie Willa Dorman. Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiated. Burial took place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request. Donation in memory may be made to the Parkinson Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the charity of your choice.
