Dorman, Glenn William - 89, of Wolfville, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010. Born in Newtonville, Kings County, he was a son of the late William “Bill” and Carrie G. (Coldwell) Dorman. Glenn worked for the Nova Scotia Light and Power Company in Lumsden and Wolfville for a number of years and DuPont of Canada, Kingston, Ontario until his retirement. He is survived by two sons, Elwood G. (Doreen), Coldbrook; Fraser E. (Patricia), Waterloo, Lunenburg County; a daughter, Maurietta R. Davidson, Gaspereau, Kings County; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Edra “Bunny” Mercer, Boston, Mass.; Minnie (Perley) Stoddard, Falmouth; a brother, Lloyd (Lexie), Newtonville. In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Minnie B. (Davison); son-in-law, Murrille Davidson; four sisters, Phoebe Davidson, Lottie Nauss, Bertha Coldwell and Elsie Willa Dorman. Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiated. Burial took place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request.
