LOUNSBURY, NORVAL “JACK” - Norval "Jack" Lounsbury, 75, of Petitcodiac passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Dobson Corner, Jack was a son of the late Walter and Beatrice (Cole) Lounsbury. He was a former employee of the T. Eaton Company, Forano and retired as a custodian from the school board in 1989. Jack was a member of the Petitcodiac Seniors, Trail Blazers, Golf and Country Club and a past member-volunteer of the Saint John Ambulance. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling and time spent with family. Jack is survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 55 years Mary (Lamb); children Gary (Kim) of Petitcodiac, Starr Perry (Dennis) of Havelock, Vicky McKnight (Jerry) of Glenvale, Amy Thorne (Robin) of Havelock and Shelley Alward-Warren (Troy) of Petitcodiac; 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters Jessie Bleakney and Eleanor Wright both of Riverview and Donna Gillies (Roy) of Upper Coverdale; brothers Clinton (Edna), Stanley (Jean) and Elwyn (Bud) (Irene) all of Petitcodiac and George (Joan) of Sussex; mother in law Bea Brown of Petitcodiac and over 30 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Marilyn Gilmore, Edna Graham, Helen Dow and infant sister Jennie; infant brother Gary, infant twin brothers and son in law Roger Keith.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Saturday, February 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Sunday, February 12 at 2 pm with Rev. Keith Adams officiating. Reception to follow in the parlour. Interment at a later date at Fair Haven Cemetery.
