LOUNSBURY, NORVAL “JACK” - Norval "Jack" Lounsbury, 75, of Petitcodiac passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Dobson Corner, Jack was a son of the late Walter and Beatrice (Cole) Lounsbury. He was a former employee of the T. Eaton Company, Forano and retired as a custodian from the school board in 1989. Jack was a member of the Petitcodiac Seniors, Trail Blazers, Golf and Country Club and a past member-volunteer of the Saint John Ambulance. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling and time spent with family. Jack is survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 55 years Mary (Lamb); children Gary (Kim) of Petitcodiac, Starr Perry (Dennis) of Havelock, Vicky McKnight (Jerry) of Glenvale, Amy Thorne (Robin) of Havelock and Shelley Alward-Warren (Troy) of Petitcodiac; 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters Jessie Bleakney and Eleanor Wright both of Riverview and Donna Gillies (Roy) of Upper Coverdale; brothers Clinton (Edna), Stanley (Jean) and Elwyn (Bud) (Irene) all of Petitcodiac and George (Joan) of Sussex; mother in law Bea Brown of Petitcodiac and over 30 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Marilyn Gilmore, Edna Graham, Helen Dow and infant sister Jennie; infant brother Gary, infant twin brothers and son in law Roger Keith.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Saturday, February 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Sunday, February 12 at 2 pm with Rev. Keith Adams officiating. Reception to follow in the parlour. Interment at a later date at Fair Haven Cemetery. If desired, in memory of Jack, donations to Friends of the Jordan LifeCare Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
