Bathurst – Mrs. Dorothy Veniot, 87, wife of the late Paul Emile Veniot, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (February 21, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Trenton, ON, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph “Paddy” and Annie (Allore) McLaughlin.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League, Bathurst.
She is survived by: two children: P.J. Veniot (Tody) of Bathurst, Ann Louise “Misi” Lavigne (John) of Moncton, two sisters: Marguerite (late Edgar) Normandeau of Moncton, and Connie (late Bob) MacMinn of Dartmouth, two brothers: Bernard (Lillian) and Dennis, both of Montreal, 2 grandchildren; Michelle, Loree, 2 step-grandchildren; Danielle and Zachary, 2 great-grandchildren; Kayla, Ashlee, several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her sister Marie and a brother; Patrick.
Visitation will start on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (February 25, 2010) at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to a favorite charity.
